You: the hirer

Us/our/we: Hush Disco

Equipment: every part of the silent disco hire kit including the case, all cables and headsets, transmitters and extras.

By giving consent for your booking you are agreeing to our terms and conditions of hire:

Payments

A £100 deposit is required to secure the booking which is refunded upon receipt of the entire kit in good working order without damage. This amount covers the excess for insurance. Ideally we would avoid using the insurance policy for individual headset damage and in this case we charge:

£35/3-channel headset replacement

£10 / jack adaptor cable replacement

Full payment is due before the booking is confirmed.

Equipment care

You are responsible for the equipment from the time you have received it until the time it has been returned. The hire kit should be stored safely and securely away from any liquids. The hirer should ensure that the people using the equipment look after it and know how to use it.  

Duration of hire

You can not keep the equipment for longer than you have hired it as we need it back for checking and sending out to the next hirer. Please respect these deadlines. In the case that there is a problem with returning the kit on time please give us as much notice as possible. 

Return conditions

The equipment should be returned on time either In-Person return to Portishead BS20 as agreed on the hire, or via DPD as agreed on hire. 

You should check the equipment on on receipt of it and before packing it back in the storage container provided for its return. The hirer may incur a fee if the kit is not returned on time. A fee will also be incurred if any of the kit is damaged or lost.

Cancellations

Cancellations within 48 hours of the date the hire is due to start will incur the full fee to be lost. 

Cancellations allowing notice of more than 48 hours before the date the hire is due to start will mean you have a full refund.

Equipment problems

We inspect all items, wiring and connections on return to us after a hire and before going back out on hire. Any damage item will be replaced as quickly as possible and charged accordingly. We allocate a buffer of 2 days between each hire so we have time to order any new equipment required for the following hire. However there may be issues with delivery times, repair times and in this circumstance we will notify you and apologise and offer full refund. We endeavour for this to be a rare and worst case scenario. 

Insurance and risk assessment

We hold an insurance policy to protect the equipment in the case that there is damage to it however you are liable for the excess £100 fee which will have been taken buy us as your deposit in advance. Our insurance also covers PLI in the event that there is an accident at your event whilst using silent disco equipment but we advise you also have your own insurance policy for any event you are holding an that you undertake your own risk assessment.
